As if it is not bad enough getting knocked out of the FA cup by Watford, it now looks like there is a possibility of us being kicked out of next year’s cup already.
Its all to do with Premier League rules about teams not fielding players who are owned by a third party and how nobody seems to know exactly who owns Tevez and Mascherano. The FA Cup says that teams have to abide by the rules of their league, and West Ham had Tevez playing against Brighton in the cup.
Another team who fielded an inelligible player got kicked out of the competition, but that option is not available to the FA since Watford already did it for them…
Like we really need more controversy and woe at Upton Park this season! What a year its been so far: the two Argies arriving shrouded in mystery, weeks of speculation about buy-outs, the Pardew/Wenger handbags incident and investigation, losing games left, right & centre, The Icelanders moving in, Pardew getting the boot, Curbishley coming in, lots of new signings who get injured 20 minutes into their first game.
The best you can say is that its not dull.
So we can start concentrating on the league stuff early (probably not the Premiership though?)
