Looking up who you share a birthday with must be a commonly done thing. With the Internet its so easy to do as well. So the big question is how did I reach my 40s without bothering to do it?

John Peel Day 2005

If anyone is looking for a good way to mark John Peel day this year, and they are within travelling distance of London, they could do a lot worse than going to see Spizzenergi at the Metro Bar in Oxford Street on October 13th. Spizzenergi did two Peel Sessions in 1979, as well as one […]

Back in the 1980, when I lived in a flat above a chip shop in Hither Green, I had a fantastic tea towel. From a distance it looked just like one of those ‘Home Sweet Home’ embroidery things, but when you got closer you could see that it actually said “Class Warfare” at the top, […]

Organ donations
September 25th, 2005 · Comments Off on Organ donations · Life
Jayne and I have just visited the NHS Organ Transplant site and registered online to give away all our body parts after death. The way she drives it seemed like a good idea… Obviously we are hoping to not actually be donating anything in the near future, but its worth doing just in case, and […]

Some bright (female) spark at work has decided that we should produce a calendar, with photos of various blokes in the company in it. Nudity was not mentioned but it was very strongly implied. I think I am out that day. Whenever it is. I feel it is in the interest of the wider public […]

The Tubes
September 22nd, 2005 · Comments Off on The Tubes · Music
The world is divided into two camps: those who have never heard of The Tubes and those who thought they had given up years ago. Fortunately they are both wrong. The Tubes are still touring quote extensively in the US. A few years ago they played a one-off in London which I took Jayne to […]
Good consumer experience

I recently bought a new digital camera from Amazon. I haven’t really been anywhere or done anything much since then and have not really had a chance to use it. Yesterday I took it with me canvassing as I wanted to take some photos of the shops at Broadfield Barton, to show how run-down the […]
